How many finished Blood of Dawnwalker in its first 11 days?

The Blood of Dawnwalker News 7 min read

Eleven days after launch, 19.4% of owners have finished The Blood of Dawnwalker’s story — up from under 1% on day two — and every one of the 46 achievements has at least one unlock recorded against it. That is a real answer to a question that only had a placeholder answer on day two: on 2026-09-04, ten of the forty-six achievements sat at exactly 0.00%. On 2026-09-13, the lowest is 1.2%.

Both figures come from Steam’s global achievement percentages endpoint for appid 3751260, which we have now queried twice. The gap between the two readings is the actual story here, more than either snapshot on its own.

Every funnel step moved, and not by the same amount The Blood of Dawnwalker, Steam global achievement completion, day 2 vs day 11 Balanced Diet 81.5% Dead Echoes 81.3% A Dawnwalker is Born 79.6% Master of Defence 75.6% Like Shadow 65.1% Antiquarian 63.2% Metropolitan 53.9% All for Me 53.3% Primal Instinct 40.0% Miser 39.5% Finish the story 19.4% Like Shadow, Metropolitan and All for Me gained 44-48 points in eight days - more than double the gain on the two steps directly above them. The funnel bulge moved, it did not just fill in.

The three biggest movers were not the three lowest starters. Like Shadow (+48.1), Metropolitan (+48.0) and All for Me (+43.8) each gained more than the two “harder” achievements sitting directly above them in the day-two ranking. Whatever those three mark, players who were still working toward the top of the funnel on day two blew through them fast — that is a bulge clearing, not a flat pace of progress across the whole game.

The hidden-achievement names, unchanged from launch

Steam unsealed all 21 previously-hidden achievement names at launch, and that part of the record has not moved between our two readings. The names still split into two camps: outcome labels that read like ending screens — The Coward, The Folk Hero, The Outcast, The Turncoat, The Knyazmaker, The Mad Khan, The Dark Mistress, Selfish, All for Me, Sins of the Past, The Right Fist of the Knyaz — sitting alongside mechanically-worded entries like Overkill and Always Hiding. Before launch we flagged the 21 hidden slots as an open question — spoilers or branch reveals — and the naming convention still points to branch labels, not a story-sequence spoiler list. Eleven days of completion data does not change that reading; it only tells us how many players have reached the point where those labels apply.

What the zero-percent achievements looked like eight days later

The day-two page reported ten achievements at exactly 0.00% and called that unremarkable for a launch-window snapshot, promising to revisit rather than treat it as settled. The revisit: all ten now show a nonzero rate, the lowest at 1.2% (Easier than Ever). None of the ten needed a patch or a difficulty change to move — they moved because ten more days gave players ten more days to play. That is worth stating plainly, because a completion rate frozen at zero and a completion rate that reaches 1.2% in a week and a half are different facts, even though both would round to “almost nobody” in a headline.

Still open after two readings

  • Whether Like Shadow, Metropolitan and All for Me sit at the same point in the game, or three separate ones that all cleared at once. The percentages alone don’t distinguish a single bottleneck from three unrelated common actions.
  • The exact unlock condition for each hidden achievement. Steam publishes names and rates, not conditions, and we are not inferring specifics beyond the naming pattern already discussed.
  • Whether 19.4% “finished” undercounts or overcounts real completions. Steam’s denominator is every owner, including people who never launched the game, so the true completion rate among people who actually played is higher than 19.4% — by an amount we cannot calculate from this endpoint.
  • Where the next reading lands. Two points make a trend line, not a curve. A thirty-day check would say whether the funnel is still moving or has settled.
