Data basis: Corsair Cove’s official Steam news feed (appid 1368140), all 20 posts, read 2026-08-22. Dates, titles and changelog text below are quoted from each post’s published content and are exact as of that read. Version numbers are parsed from the changelog headers inside each post’s text, not from a separate patch-notes page — Steam news posts are the only place Hooded Horse/Limbic Entertainment published them as of this read.
Corsair Cove shipped 31 July 2026 and, as of this writing, has had four post-launch patches in under three weeks — a fast cadence that also means any patch-notes summary written more than a few days before publication is already stale. This page lists every patch chronologically with the version string each one shipped, categorizes what it touched, and tracks whether problems the developer flagged as “known issues” actually got fixed in the next patch, since that’s the one thing no single patch-notes post tells you on its own.
The timeline
| Date | Post title | Version | Category | Summary |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2026-07-31 | Corsair Cove is Released! | 1.0 | Launch | Full release, 25% launch discount. No changelog — this is the baseline build. |
| 2026-08-01 | Patch #1: Tutorial Hint Fixes and Event Improvements | v1.1.1.241792 | Tutorial / stability | Fixed the tutorial getting stuck after the “Barbos Bay” event’s journey summary screen; removed non-immigration community events during the tutorial; fixed the “Place your Pier here” hint sticking; added a save-guard system to auto-clear stuck hints on load. |
| 2026-08-06 | Patch #2: Crash Fixes and Gameplay Improvements | v1.1.2.241844 | Stability / UI / localization | Fixed several occasional gameplay crashes, a crash tied to Hair Graphics Quality, a rare crash entering the Barbos Bay event; fixed ships clipping through islands near Buccaneer’s End, incorrect crew-upkeep display in the shipbuilding menu, a false “No drifters available” error during Pirate Camp construction; fixed typos across English, German, French and Russian. |
| 2026-08-13 | Patch #3: Stability Fixes and General Improvements | v1.1.3.242237 | Stability / visual / balance | Fixed several more occasional crashes; adjusted the “Dull the Pain” rules for the Scabies community event; fixed texture issues on the Tanner and Tabby Cradle buildings and on waterfalls/shipwrecks at Devil’s Basin; fixed Kanja’s hair visuals and other Captain visual glitches during events; fixed overflowing Options-menu text; enlarged the shipbuilding info panel; updated outdated Codex icons. Also flagged a known issue (see below). |
| 2026-08-18 | Patch #4: Tutorial Progression Fix | v1.1.4.242868 | Tutorial fix (follow-up) | Fixed the exact Small Gun Tower tutorial-blocking issue flagged as a known issue in Patch #3; fixed missing waterfall visuals specific to the Microsoft Store build. |
Two entries from the pre-release period are excluded from the table above but included for completeness: a Demo Update #1 (2026-06-10, crash fixes and a tutorial-goal fix for the public Steam Next Fest demo, separate app ID) and the release-date announcement (2026-05-28, “Corsair Cove Releases July 31, 2026!”), neither of which is a patch to the shipped 1.0 game.
Known-issue tracking: what got promised, what got delivered
Patch #3’s notes (13 August 2026) contain an explicit “Known Issue: Small Gun Towers during the Tutorial” section, separate from the fixed-issues list — the developer telling players about a bug before shipping the fix for it:
“If two Small Gun Towers are built and supplied at roughly the same time during the tutorial, there may not be enough Black Powder available to supply both. This can prevent the ‘Wait for Ammunition production.’ objective from progressing… We are already working on a fix.”
Five days later, Patch #4’s changelog (18 August 2026) closes that exact issue: “Fixed an issue where building multiple Small Gun Towers during the tutorial could block progression.” This is the one instance in the four-patch history where a known issue was both announced and subsequently confirmed fixed in a numbered patch, rather than fixed silently or left open — and it is a five-day turnaround from disclosure to fix, not from the bug’s introduction (the underlying tutorial existed since 1.0 on 31 July).
No other patch in this dataset shipped a “known issue” callout, so there is nothing else to track against — Patches #1 and #2 shipped fixes without flagging outstanding problems in the same post.
Reading the version numbers
The four post-launch patches carry version strings 1.1.1.241792 → 1.1.2.241844 →
1.1.3.242237 → 1.1.4.242868. The third segment increments by one per patch as expected; the
fourth segment (241792 → 241844 → 242237 → 242868) looks like an internal build number that jumps
by tens between quick patches (52 between #1 and #2) and by hundreds when more work shipped (393
between #2 and #3, 631 between #3 and #4) — consistent with #3 and #4 each fixing more distinct
issues than #1 or #2 shipped. We have not seen Hooded Horse document what the build-number scheme
means, so this is an inference from the pattern, not a confirmed rule.
What we could not confirm
- Whether any fixes shipped in these four patches that were not mentioned in the public changelog (undocumented balance or economy tuning). We only have what Hooded Horse chose to publish.
- The internal build-number scheme (see above) — inferred from the pattern of four data points, not confirmed by the developer.
- Whether patches after 2026-08-18 (Patch #4, the most recent in this feed as of our 2026-08-22 read) exist. This dataset is current only to that read date; a fifth patch may have shipped since.
- Whether the Small Gun Tower tutorial fix in Patch #4 fully resolved the issue for all players, or only the specific reproduction case described in Patch #3’s known-issue note. We’re going by the changelog wording, not post-patch community reports.
